The white sharks - Dangerous maybe but they are interesting i think.

-How does his organism “make its living”?
The great white shark is constantly on the move, swimming slowly and continously, beating its tail from side to side. It mostly patrols alone, offshore and is rarely found in the open ocean. It can cruise at a steady 3.5 km for days. In temperate seas the great white seems to migrate either northwards or southwards, depending on the hemisphere, as the sea warms in the summer, In winter, when the water is cooler, the shark migrates back again. also, in addition of his travels, the white shark likes to hunt. The surface of the snout has thousandsof tiny holes which make up an important sensory organ which allows the shark to sense minute drops of blood in the water. It can detect a tiny drop of blood in 4,600,000 ltres of water. The shark can see and hear very well which also helps it to locate its prey. In fact two thirds of the shark's brain area is devoted to the vital sense of smell. A shark usually hunts alone but several may home in on prey if it is releasing blood into the water. the sharks themselves can find they are in danger during a "feeding frenzy" for when attacking, a hungry great white goes straight towards the prey and may lunge through the water at up to 50mph !! Mahy sharks are bitten by their own comrades during mass attacks at a "feeding frenzy".

-What does it eat?
The great white shark is a streamlined swimmer and a ferocious predator with 3,000 teeth at any one time. It's nostrils can smell one drop of blood in 25 gallons (100 liters) of water. Like some of us, the great white prefers a fatty meal to one with lots of protein. That's why its main prey item is the pinniped, an aquatic carnivore like a sea lion. They'll also dine on other fishes and occasionally sea turtles. The great white shark consumes approximately 11 tons of food in one year !!!

-What controls where it lives?
These sharks primarily inhabit coastal regions where the water temperature ranges between 12 degrees C to 24 degrees C - 54 degrees F to 75 degrees F. However, they are found in large numbers around the southern coast of Australia, California, South Africa, Isla Guadalupe (Mexico). The maximum population inhabits the coastal region around the Dyer Island in South Africa. They actually can live in every type of ocean. They can be found in water as shallow as three feet deep, and as deep as 1280metres !!
Ocean Parcel
The Caraibean Sea. I lived there for two years and i keep a good experience in my mind. Every part of this ocean is beatiful and it's really nice to go into it and explore...

-What are the characteristics of my ocean Parcel? The water is warm and transparent! There is at some places big waves to surf! Tons of marine animals to discover!

-How deep is the seafloor there? The extent of of the Caribbean is about 1,063,000 square miles or 2,754,000 kilometers. The Caribbean’s greatest depth is called the Cayman Trench, between Cuba and Jamaica. It is about 25,216 feet (1,686 meters) below sea level.

-What plants and animals can be found there? Almost everything !!! Lot of fish like : sharks, swordfish, kingfish, tuna but far from the coast. If you are a swimer, you ll like to stay around the coast to admire the little clored and increadible fishes / algae and other kind of marine plants that you can find in warm water.

Bonjour Nicolas!
Comment ça va? Comment est Florida?
You know, I wish we'd spent more time together in DC. We've communicated so much here on the site, that I think it's kind-of a bummer we didn't talk more in real life. Well, at least the site will keep us in touch.
I miss you, and your new nickname (or so i've been told)... Frenchy...
Miss you Frenchy... Keep in touch.

Hey... Well, I hope you're having a blast in FL, and I'm excited to meet you tomorrow in DC.
I completely agree that practicing French is key, but I'll be able to practice with you soon enough. If you don't mind that is! :)

Rugby seems like a fun sport... I kind-of wish I played it!
I don't know if my French improved dramatically, but it's always good to practice, don't you think?
So... What's up with you recently? Super excited and ready for OFL?
Je suis trés enthusiastique pour OFL!!!! :D

Hello!
I wouldn't know if the football pads or the weight room is better... I don't really play football! :)
Do you know the sport rugby? Do you watch it? It's a huge thing here in South Africa. I don't really know why...
So, I got to practice my French today on a Hippo/Croc Boat Tour. There was a French couple close to where we were sitting and I started to talk to them. We had a nice conversation... It was good to have the practice! :)
Your page heading says that you have 15 days till OFL... Is that right?
