Profile Marine Organism
Phytoplankton are King of the Ocean. They are the basis of life both in the ocean and on land. Without diatoms, dinoflagellates, cyanobacteria, coccolithiphors and all of the tiny yet billions of primary producers in our Ocean, life as we know it would not exist.
Ocean Parcel
The Sulawesi Sea--I have never visited, but aspire to some day--is one of my favorite "slices" of Ocean. Found in the middle of the Coral Triangle, it is home to 580 of 793 species of tropical, reef-building coral. It is part of the Coral Triangle Initiative, important to the future of our Ocean, and is home to many plant and animal species, including whales, dolphins, eagle rays, manta rays and an abundant population of tuna that has unfortunately been drastically depleted due to overfishing.

A little about me

Hey, I'm Morgan and I'm a native Floridian. I enjoy the sun and endless summer, and having lived on the Gulf Coast for my entire life, and spending countless hours in or around the water, I have developed a great passion and love for our Ocean.

I am an avid SCUBA diver, a SCUBAnaut and like to think about myself as an ameature scientist. I love reading, watching movies and relaxing with my friends, but most of all, I LOVE ADVENTURES and trying new things. I'm 17 and plan on pursuing my education into college and beyond.

Look me up on facebook if you have an account!
