"Wow!  8 years of piano?!  That's so awesome.  Yeah, I guess you could say summer's been pretty busy but I love it.  Have you been doing anything special over break?"

"Hey, sorry about not replying for a while, and I have no excuses, I'm not one of those types I guess. But sorry! Aww, that had to suck, getting sick from a strawberry. Have you ever not wanted to eat something you just got sick from?…"

Blue Whale
The blue whale is the largest animal that lives on Earth! That being said, it eats one of the smallest- krill. It stays in polar waters during the summers, and migrates to the equator for winter. And it truly is amazing how they can hear each other up to 1000 miles away.
Santa Barbara Punch Bowls! It's amazing to me how waterfalls work, connecting so many places! :]
If only people would stop
graffiti-ing on Mother Nature's
works of art...

Inspiration Point at Anacapa Island.. Very inspiring! :] Once all of the non-native ice plant (those pink flower-like things on the bottom left) is off the island, we will be able to see Anacapa how the native americans saw it thousands of years ago!

Aww, that had to suck, getting sick from a strawberry. Have you ever not wanted to eat something you just got sick from? That's the way is is for me, and not being able to eat a strawberry for a while would be disastrous! :) It is a very controversial topic, I didn't learn it in an environmental class tho, but I was wondering about it when I was around 10 and asked mom about it one day. She told me about it, and I still wonder about it every now and then, because in a way it's kinda sad that we have to spray. Everybody used to grow little crops for their families, but now that our population is so large we have to grow huge bulk crops and maintain them with gross things. I hope someday, somehow, that will change, because bugs will adapt to the chemicals and then all those bulk crops of the same kind of vegetable or fruit will spiral down the drain. I have taken an environmental class...I loved it!

How's your summer going?

I'm working with a mentor at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science. Right now I'm sorting oysters :) Ah Puerto Rico! I'm so jealous, I've always wanted to go there. I might go there next summer, any suggestions on places to visit?

My summer's going great!  I get to spend loads more time with my horse.  I also took a lifeguard certification class.  I'm training for the cross country season and right now we're setting up my sister's grad party for this weekend.  It's been pretty packed, not to mention the honors and AP summer work.  :(

For my hobbies?  I love anything in the water, kayaking is great.  For my friend's birthday party we went down to the beach and kayaked around the bay.  I love horseback riding, drawing, and writing.  I have been trying to play the piano, but I'm afraid I'm not very good at it yet.  How long have you been playing?
