Erica Knox said… I love Wisconsin x2394835. I actually attended the Midwest Renewable Energy Fair so it was really fun!
Me too! I'm trying to fit everything in my backpack but its not quite working
Erica Knox said… We will! Pentwater sounds cool! Michigan is so awesome, you're lucky to live there. I actually was in Michigan! For 4th of july we always go to Glen Arbor (near Empire). And I was in Wisconsin, and Nashville, visiting friends of mine that live there.
SO EXCITED.

Haha yes, it seems like when something makes you sick once, you never want to see it again! You asked your mom about pesticides at age 10?! Wow, at 10 I was thinking about things like Disneyland! haha. It is very sad though, and dangerous. The next thing you know, bugs will be immune to all types of pesticides! I hope it changes, too. My environmental science class has inspired me so much!
My summer is going great, I just got back from Florida and Puerto Rico :] Are you excited for ofl?!

Gina McGuire said… Some of the honey creepers are endangered, but they're all rare in Hawaii. The part I'm nervous about is homesickness, 'cause I've traveled before and I always end up missing home no matter how much fun I'm having. Don't worry about traveling, it'll be ok. My least favorite part is the take off.
Claire Fackler said… Hi Ellie,
I will let you know before you depart next week if you need to bring your own tent. I think we will likely have enough gear here for all of you to borrow. Right now we have a few of you girls sharing a four-person tent. It should be fun and we have no expectation that it will rain!
Noaf - Three nights on Santa Cruz Island for our group July 20-23. It will be an amazing experience.
Cheers, Claire

Gina McGuire said… I'm sorry I haven't been replying for a very long time! Part of living in the middle of nowhere means that I don't have internet access! We have all kinds of birds that come to our feeders: doves, finches, and then the native ones like the honey creepers. Their Hawaiian names are 'apapane, 'i'iwi, and akepa.
So how's summer going? I can't wait for the trip, though I'm a little nervous. But I totally can't wait to see the sea caves and go kayaking with you guys!
