Hey Cole!

I was very surprised to see that I had received a comment from OFL, haha! It too has been sometime since I've used this. First off, I am surprised, and glad, that you remembered I went to UCSB :) And yes, I am sooo down to provide you with information about this school! I was sad that our time together in D.C. was so short! I really wanted to share my knowledge about the school with you, but we all were quite busy. But like I said in D.C., I will be happy to answer all your questions :) Is this a good way to communicate? Or would you rather email? facebook? etc.? Just let me know. I hope you are doing well and thanks for contacting me - can't wait to be a source of help :)

Hope you been well,
Kat

I know, it has taken me far too long to get back to you, I apologize! Life happens!

I am doing very well, had a wonderful holiday but unfortunately, stayed on the east coast the entire time. I was able to go to Seattle in September and again in November for Thanksgiving. Every time I go back I am reminded how much I miss it. The good part is that I can still go back for visits!

How is life for you? Is school going well? What is the next step? Anything exciting?

COLE!!...How are you?
I'm really sorry for replying late.
I spent the rest of the summer in swimming, playing video games, reading and watching TV.
What is the "business camp"??, did you like it?
Which city did you visit in oregon state?

Cole,

I am very happy to help you however I can. I am glad the program and our efforts had such a positive effect, it makes all the work worth it! That's great you've started a club at your school to discuss spiritual and cultural matters, I know it will be a great benefit. If you're interested for your club, the group that produced the movie you saw in DC "Cities of Light" is called the Unity Project Foundation. You can ask for copies of movies like it as part of their 20000 Dialogues campaign www.dialoguesforpeace.org. The outreach coordinator for the program's name is Daniel Tutt daniel@upf.tv if you want to learn more.

As far as next year, we did not have the funding to start planning a study for 2010. I'm going to try and put together a virtual study using this site and the Facebook group you have going, but we won't have a "physical" study until 2011. We're working to do program promotion and marketing throughout 2010 to get funding as well as give you all the support you need for our continuing education program. Let me know what you'd like to see!

Best,

Jonathan

Cole,

Sent an initial email to Jacqueline (the education/outreach coordinator for Olympic Coast NMS) and cc'd you to put you in contact. I'm sure with your creativity you guys can come up with some ways you can help assist the Sanctuary.

Best,

Jonathan

Cole,

I'm so glad you had a great experience. I want to get you in touch with some of the staff at our Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary based out of Port Angeles if you are interested. I see you've already got connected to Bob Pavia.

I hope school is going well, let me know if you need anything from me to help with preparing presentations or college applications!

Best,

Jonathan
